Raising Digital Natives: Navigating the Air Our Children Breathe Without Getting Contaminated

A guide to using media as a launchpad for family connection, interactive learning, and real-world exploration

How much screen time is too much?

Instead of just counting minutes, focus on the Three C's: Content, Context, and the Child.

Content: Is it warm and engaging? Does it repeat things (which kids love)? Is it free of violence?.

Context: Are you interacting with them while they watch? Are they having good interactions when the screen is off?

Child: You know your kid best—does this delight them or overstimulate them?

Technology is now like the air our children breathe—it can be contaminated, but it is here to stay.

Our job as parents is to bridge the technology generational gap and help them use it wisely.

Don't use the screen as a tool to wind-down, but as a starting point for activities in the kitchen or a treasure hunt in the backyard.

Our kids are digital natives, let’s help them navigate their world safely.
